Groovin' on the Green: Our Summer Happy Place in Cashiers, NC

What happens when you combine mountains and music at the height of the Plateau’s season? Hint: it’s not something you want to miss!

For us at Caliber, we’re excited it’s that time of year again — Groovin’ on the Green is back on the Plateau, and we’ll be sponsoring the event with a tent!

Cashiers’ Favorite Friday Tradition

If your summer calendar isn’t already marked for Groovin’ on the Green, it’s about to be! This free summer concert series is the place to be on select Friday nights from late May through early September, conveniently at the Village Green Commons at the Cashiers crossroads.

So, grab your picnic blankets and call your best friends because we’re about to make some serious (or not so serious…) summer memories together!

Beats of the Blue Ridge

For those who haven’t been, Groovin’ on the Green is like the heartbeat of our summer evenings on the Plateau. Picture this: a gorgeous evening under the stars, the Blue Ridge Mountains hugging the horizon, and the Commons Lawn buzzing with peak seasonal cheer as live music fills the air. It’s held at The Village Green, Cashiers’ picturesque and spacious park – 13.2 acres, to be exact (our real estate brains never fully shut off…).

The concerts kick off around 6:00 p.m. and wrap up around 8:30, rain or shine. Yes, that’s right: the Groovin’ folks let the good times roll – even in the rain, although we might be pretty hunkered down in the tent if that happens.

Tunes, Tents & the Town We Love

We’ve reserved a 10×10 tent for the June 20 concert (Commodore Fox), and we can’t wait to see you there! Swing by to say hello, chat about the local real estate market, or just hang out with us while the bands jam.

Maybe we’ll hand out some free stuff too! Last year, we gave out special goodies – a hangover bag – with everything you need for the morning after, just in case you party a little too hard.

The lineup this year is a great mix — everything from country (Corey Stevenson Band) to classic hits (High5 Band and Commodore Fox).

Here’s the scoop on how to make the most of it: bring your lawn chairs, a picnic spread (coolers are welcome) and your furry friends.  And if snack packing sounds like a hassle, there will be food vendors on-site too, so you’re covered. Oh, and pro tip— to claim a good spot on the lawn, you might want to get there early. The energy is unforgettable — families dancing, friends laughing, and that soft mountain breeze that makes Plateau evenings feel alive.

More Than Music: A Celebration of the Cashiers Community

Groovin’ simply celebrates what makes Cashiers so special. This mountain paradise isn’t just where we sell real estate; it’s where we live, play, and build community. Supporting a nonprofit like The Village Green that joyfully brings us all together just feels like giving back to our home.

So, whether you’re local to the Plateau or just visiting, come find us at our tent this summer.

Here’s the full lineup for Groovin’ on the Green:
