If you’re an out-of-town buyer looking to purchase a home in the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau or are in the process of building a home here, this post is for you.
Cashiers Cottage // Cashiers NC: Walking distance from Ugly Dog, Village Green and Buck’s coffee in downtown Cashiers, this cozy cottage is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom with king and queen beds. It has a gas fireplace, charming décor plus a beautiful kitchen. The owners are opening up another cottage for rent in the same cul-de-sac May 2021 if you need additional space!
Hotel Cashiers // Cashiers, NC: Walking distance to Slab Town Pizza, Chile Loco and Whiteside Brewery, Hotel Cashiers feels like a cool, retro motel with a modern flare and sophisticated light fixtures. This inn was tastefully renovated early 2020 and now offers rooms with a king bed or with two queens.
Highlands Honeymoon Cottage // Highlands, NC: A modernized, romantic mountain getaway built in the 1940’s (and very instagrammable!) We love the retro-style smeg refrigerator, modern leather sofa and bright airy walls. This cottage was updated in June of 2017 but remains rustic with lux amenities.
Highlander Mountain House // Highlands, NC: Every inch of this recently renovated inn is well thought out! Built in 1885, it stands as it is today for just under a year and is where English charm meets Appalachian architecture. You’ll want to relax for hours on their fabulous red couch next to a wood burning fireplace all day long. They also have a great bar and restaurant, the Ruffed Grouse.
LAKE TOXAWAY, NC
Greystone Inn // Lake Toxaway, NC: If you’re looking for resort-style rooms with stunning lake views, this is the spot! A little bit of a drive, but every bit worth it. They have a spa for adults (and kids!) and many spots to dine.
